What Does Concrete Cost in Miami in 2026?

Concrete prices for Miami homeowners in 2026: national ranges for driveways, patios, slabs, stamped work, removal, walks and walls, and how to read a quote.

What Does Concrete Cost in Miami in 2026?

Plain concrete flatwork costs about $6 to $12 per square foot installed across the country in 2026. We do not post a Miami price sheet. A job in Coconut Grove under big trees, a narrow lot in Little Havana and an open yard in Kendall are three different jobs, even at the same square footage.

The dollar figures on this page are national ranges that HomeGuide published for 2026. They are not quotes from Miami Concrete Solutions. In Miami the real number depends on local labor and material prices, how a truck reaches the pour, and what is under the old slab. Figures last read in October 2026.

How much does a concrete driveway cost?

The national range for a concrete driveway is $6 to $15 per square foot, which comes to $2,400 to $8,600 for a two-car driveway. Standard plain concrete is $6 to $10 per square foot. Basic decorative finishes are $10 to $15. Miami drives are often short, so the fixed parts of the job, such as tear-out, forms and the permit, make up a bigger share of the total than they would on a long suburban driveway.

DrivewayNational installed cost (HomeGuide, 2026)
Plain, per sq ft$6 to $10
Basic decorative, per sq ft$10 to $15
20x20, 400 sq ft$2,400 to $6,000
24x24, 576 sq ft$3,500 to $8,600

How much does concrete cost per square foot?

An installed concrete slab runs $6 to $12 per square foot nationally. Thickness changes it: a 4 inch slab is $6 to $8 per square foot and a 6 inch slab is $8 to $10. Those figures cover the forms, the base, the concrete, the finishing and the labor. Breaking out old concrete, digging out soft organic soil and pumping concrete to a back yard are extra when a site calls for them.

How much does a concrete patio cost? What is a fair price for a 20x20 patio?

A plain concrete patio is $4 to $12 per square foot nationally. A stained or stamped one is $8 to $30. For a 20x20 patio, the published range is $1,600 to $4,800 plain and $3,200 to $12,000 stained or stamped, so a fair quote should sit inside those bands unless the site is unusual. A plain 12x12 is $600 to $1,700. For a 12x20 or a 16x20, work out your square feet and apply the per square foot range.

How much does it cost to pour a slab for a 24x24 garage or a 30x40 shop?

HomeGuide lists slab prices of $600 to $1,200 for a 10x10, $860 to $1,700 for a 12x12, $2,400 to $4,800 for a 20x20 and $5,400 to $10,800 for a 30x30. It has no line for 24x24 or 30x40. Applying its $6 to $12 per square foot figure is plain arithmetic: 576 square feet gives $3,460 to $6,900 for a 24x24, and 1,200 square feet gives $7,200 to $14,400 for a 30x40. A slab that carries a building in Miami-Dade is built to permitted drawings, with footings and steel set by the plans, and that is priced from the drawings.

How much is a yard of concrete?

Ready-mix concrete is $119 to $147 per cubic yard nationally, delivered within 20 miles. That buys the material at the truck and nothing else. Forms, base, steel, placing, finishing, curing and cleanup make up most of a bill, so a per yard price is a poor way to compare two contractors.

How much does it cost to remove and replace an old driveway?

To remove and replace a driveway, add two published ranges together. Removal is $3 to $8 per square foot nationally with disposal, or $1,200 to $4,500 for a whole driveway. The new driveway is then $6 to $15 per square foot. When a replacement is needed, our quote includes breaking out the old slab and having it hauled away, and it shows that as a separate line so you can see what each part costs.

How much does stamped concrete cost next to plain? What about color or stain?

Stamped concrete costs $8 to $19 per square foot nationally, compared with $6 to $10 for a plain driveway and $4 to $12 for a plain patio. Published examples are $3,200 to $7,600 for a 20x20 stamped patio, $6,900 to $10,400 for a two-car stamped driveway and $800 to $1,700 for a 4x20 stamped walk. HomeGuide gives no separate upcharge for color or stain by itself, so we print no figure for it. Color or stain is priced after we see the slab and you pick the shade.

How much does a concrete walkway cost?

A concrete walkway or sidewalk is $7 to $17 per square foot installed, on national figures. At 4 feet wide that is $28 to $68 per linear foot. The average job is $1,400 to $3,400.

How much does a concrete retaining wall cost?

A concrete retaining wall averages $3,000 to $10,000 nationally. By length that is $45 to $270 per linear foot, and by wall face it is $15 to $45 per square foot. Miami is flat, so most walls here are low: planter walls, a raised yard, the edge of a raised patio. A seawall is a different kind of structure with its own permits and is not covered by these figures.

What does a parking pad or sidewalk cost for a small business?

There is no published figure for commercial parking pads or lots in our source, so we give none. For a small business the price comes from a site visit. Truck weights, drainage, the accessible route to the door and any work on the public right of way all change the design. For a plain walk, the walkway range above is a reasonable first guide.

I have three quotes for the same patio and they are far apart. Which do I trust?

Trust the one that tells you what you are buying. When quotes are far apart, the difference is nearly always in items that are hidden once the concrete is down. Line them up and compare: square feet, thickness, what base goes in and how it is compacted, what steel, where the joints go, the finish, the permit and who takes away the debris. A low price that leaves those blank has not been compared with the others at all.

The contractor wants extra for a gravel base after demolition. Is that fair?

It can be fair, if the quote said in advance how it would be handled. No one sees under a slab until it is lifted. In parts of Miami-Dade the crew may find black organic soil, buried rubble or a washed-out hollow, and replacing that with compacted rock costs real money. A careful quote names a unit price for added base before work starts. If someone asks for extra for the base with nothing written down, look at the hole yourself, ask for photos and get the change in writing before you say yes.

How do I know if a concrete quote is fair?

A concrete quote is fair when the price falls within the published range for that work and every part of the job is written out. Check for the area, the thickness, the base, the reinforcement, the joint plan, the finish, removal and disposal, the permit and the cleanup. Then read the payment terms. Florida has a rule that applies when a contractor takes more than 10 percent up front, which we explain in our contractor guide.

I asked for an estimate on my concrete work and was offered a price too good to refuse—significantly lower than the other quotes. They were friendly, professional, and the job turned out fantastic. Highly recommended!
